Point six:

The PFA deliver Education & Diversity Sessions to senior professionals (first team players) to ensure their understanding on these issues is clear, their knowledge of the protected characteristics and misuse of language around these characteristics is out-lined.

To date over three-quarters of clubs in the Premier League, Championship, Leagues One and Two have received the training.

As well as senior player training, the PFA works closely with the Leagues and Kick It Out to ensure football scholars receive an understanding and clarification around equality and diversity with ‘Equality and Diversity Enrichment Programmes’ in the Football League and ‘Scholars Equality and Diversity Training’ for scholars at Premier League clubs. This training was instigated by the PFA and cited by Ofsted as Outstanding. For more information on this training click here.
