SGP rehab main

Each week the PFA funds six residential rehabilitation spaces at St George's Park, which can be accessed by current and former PFA members with a medium to long-term injury.

St. George’s Park combines cutting edge technology with elite medical expertise to create the most advanced sports medicine, rehabilitation, performance science and training centre in the UK.

The programme has run at St George's Park for the past 5 years and is delivered by Gamechanger Performance (GCP).

Physiotherapist Pete Talbot who leads a multi-disciplinary team at St George's Park, states: “The PFA rehabilitation scheme provides its members with intensive rehabilitation to assist and guide them to overcome injuries unfortunately sustained.

"In addition to rehabilitating in a world-class facility, the expert rehabilitation support will ensure that every member is cared for individually.

“All members that attend the rehabilitation scheme will also be educated on their injury and given the correct set of skills and knowledge to leave St Georges Park self-assured on the management of their injury. The scheme really is exclusive and gives playing members and their associated clubs the opportunity for a player to return to play as quick as possible and with confidence.”

Game Changer Performance have been working closely with both the PFA and the FA in order to implement the government's latest COVID-19 guidance, to ensure players are kept safe while receiving treatment. This includes temperature checks on arrival, maintaining social distancing where possible, and adopting the strictest hygiene standards. Players' safety remains our priority above all else.
